Schedule
- Full-time, remote position
- Based in Atlanta, GA (remote flexibility available)
Responsibilities
- Follow up with insurance carriers on underpaid claims via phone
- Research claim variances in hospital accounting systems (EPIC, Meditech, Cerner, Athena)
- Draft appeals for denied or underpaid claims
- Review claim details including coding, billing, and insurance discrepancies
- Run claims data through pricing software tools
- Troubleshoot claim submission errors and resolve issues
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry
- Ability to analyze and resolve claim errors
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented with flexible problem-solving skills
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred
- Healthcare billing knowledge preferred
- Previous work-from-home experience desired
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $17 – $23, based on skills and experience
