Schedule

  • Training: 2 weeks, Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm CST
  • Production: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm CST (flexible scheduling available)
  • Full-time, remote role
  • Must hold Texas RN license or Compact license

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with HHSC and other regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physician reviewers to address denials and identify next steps
  • Create training materials and provide education for nursing staff and physician reviewers
  • Coordinate continuity of care and advocate for members during appeal processes
  • Analyze appeal requests, monitor timeliness, and document outcomes in compliance systems
  • Communicate with members, providers, and staff regarding appeal status and due process
  • Generate determination letters and manage Fair Hearing requests as needed
  • Conduct audits of appeal activities and support NCQA file review preparation
  • Prepare internal and external reports on appeal trends, activity, and resolution

What You Need

  • Active RN license (Texas or Compact state)
  • 3+ years of nursing experience
  • 1+ year Utilization Management and Appeals experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Highly motivated with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
