Schedule
- Training: 2 weeks, Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm CST
- Production: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm CST (flexible scheduling available)
- Full-time, remote role
- Must hold Texas RN license or Compact license
What You’ll Do
- Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with HHSC and other regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physician reviewers to address denials and identify next steps
- Create training materials and provide education for nursing staff and physician reviewers
- Coordinate continuity of care and advocate for members during appeal processes
- Analyze appeal requests, monitor timeliness, and document outcomes in compliance systems
- Communicate with members, providers, and staff regarding appeal status and due process
- Generate determination letters and manage Fair Hearing requests as needed
- Conduct audits of appeal activities and support NCQA file review preparation
- Prepare internal and external reports on appeal trends, activity, and resolution
What You Need
- Active RN license (Texas or Compact state)
- 3+ years of nursing experience
- 1+ year Utilization Management and Appeals experience
- Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
- Highly motivated with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
