At the State of Minnesota, employees play a critical role in developing policies, providing essential services, and working to improve the well-being and quality of life for all Minnesotans. The State of Minnesota is committed to equity and inclusion, and invests in employees by providing benefits, support resources, and training and development opportunities.
In the Employment and Training Programs Division our work is centered around equity, transparency, integrity, timeliness, and community partnership. The Employment and Training Programs Division works within the Workforce Development Division, helping job seekers to meet the employment needs of employers. The Employment and Training Programs Division oversees and administers state and federal workforce development programs, including Minnesota’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I programs.
The Adult Career Pathways (ACP) programs provide adults who traditionally face multiple barriers to employment, and who need enhanced educational and supportive services, to be successful in securing long-term family sustaining wages.
Our grants work to eliminate racial disparities and large economic gaps in Minnesota, to increase Minnesotans’ literacy and access to high-growth and high-wage jobs, and to increase the number of women in high-wage, high-demand, nontraditional occupations.
This position is responsible for managing and providing guidance to ACP grantees on a regular ongoing basis with an emphasis on training, developing, and supporting participants.
