We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Grant Administrator in the education industry, specifically within a university setting. This role will be based in SAN FRANCISCO, California, 94132-1722, United States, with a flexible working arrangement. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs department, overseeing a range of administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of proposals, including reading Request for Proposals (RFPs), and managing budgetary considerations.
- Coordinating with faculty members to ensure smooth operation of the department.
- Overseeing the post-award process, which includes reading grants and contracts, highlighting pertinent information, and liaising with Principal Investigators (PIs) to establish program/accounting setups.
- Conducting regular reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Managing projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and meeting set objectives.
Requirements
- Prior experience in Project Management
- Prior experience in RFPs
- Prior Experience in Education
- Responsible for managing all aspects of grant applications in an educational environment, including research, coordination, preparation and submission.
- Tracking grant application progress, maintaining detailed records and providing timely reports to stakeholders about the status and outcomes of grant applications.
- Working closely and effectively communicate with school or university department heads, finance personnel and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for grant applications.
- Ensuring compliance with grant regulations and guidelines, carry out audits as necessary and provide relevant training for staff involved in grant management.
- Conducting regular reviews and updates of grant-related policies and procedures to ensure that they are current and aligned with both organizational goals and external regulations.
