Position: Hospital Billing Analyst

Location: Virtual – Work From Home

Position Summary

Primarily responsible for the accurate and timely completion of rebilling hospital claims in accordance with Revecore and client’s policies and procedures, along with governmental & commercial payor requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bills commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, MCO, VA and work comp inpatient and outpatient claims on a UB-04 in client’s billing system
  • Follows Revecore’s coding and rebill policies and procedures regarding the billing of claims
  • Follows client’s coding and billing department’s policies and procedures regarding the billing of claims
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and Revecore personnel
  • Maintain regular contact with necessary parties regarding claims rebill request status including client, supervisor, manager, and other Revecore personnel
  • Create and organize data for various Revecore personnel on and off-site including identifying trends that may provide insight in to billing challenges
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to Manager, Supervisor and Lead Analyst
  • Attend client, department, and company meetings
  • Comply with federal and state laws, company policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of hospital billing experience, preferably in TruBridge (Rycan)
  • Working knowledge of medical terms, including CPT/HCPC codes and diagnosis codes
  • Knowledge of general insurance requirements and terms
  • Experience working directly with EOBs and contractual adjustments
  • Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
  • Advanced computer proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mathematical skills: ability to calculate totals using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to read and interpret an extensive variety of documents such as claims, instructions, and policies and procedures in written (in English) and diagram form
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
