Description
Position Summary
This position supports the Director of Early Education by providing a variety of administrative and clerical support services in a confidential and professional manner. In addition, supporting the department through internal and external communication, project support, and some customer service/relations are key to the success of the role. Requiring competency in technology, research, and working with others, this is a great opportunity to serve the mission of ACSI by providing vital support to the Director of Early Education.
This is a part-time remote position working 20 hours per week. Work will be performed from a home office anywhere in the Continental US during Eastern time zone office hours.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Coordinate and maintain the Directors travel schedule, meetings, visits, and appointments, as well as track other department personnel schedules
Assist with follow-up communication from the Director to Early Educations programs/schools visited, engaged, or scheduled for continued contact
Monitor and report on important matters to the Early Education Team, as designated by the Director
Work closely with other departments to track social media progress, promote the ACSI brand, and assist marketing efforts
Assist with event coordination and school visits as assigned, and participate in post-event/visit debriefing and documentation
Grammatically proof Early Education materials and communication
Assist the Director on budget items through basic accounting duties
Maintain inventory and enable distribution of supplies and materials as needed
Enter, maintain, and report on membership information in Early Education data systems
Under the Directors supervision, provide additional support in cultivating relationships with ACSI through contact with potential and lapsed members, explain the rationale for membership, and serve existing members in a highly effective manner
Direct programs/schools to the requested information via the Care Team or by direct response, as appropriate
Respond promptly to member questions and inquiries with knowledge of ACSI accreditation standards, Florida Approval Program (FAP) standards, and national health and safety standards
Contribute to membership cultivation and development
All other duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits
Starting Rate: $18.00 per hour.
Part-time employees may enroll in 403b retirement plan. In addition, ACSI provides vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, employee assistance plan, and discretionary annual bonus.

Required Experience and Education
One or more years of administrative experience
One or more years of experience working in an ACSI member school preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree preferred, or currently enrolled in a relevant degree program
Strong communication skills, especially written, with good command of grammar and editing
Computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including word processing, financial reporting software, database/spreadsheet software, and publishing software) and Adobe
Ability to use additional software applications related to conference scheduling and updating the departments portion of the website
Strong technology and internet research skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of ACSI internal management and staff, outside clients, and vendors
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Disciplined time management skills, flexibility
Integrity in dealing with confidential information
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Professional remote work environment in which to conduct videoconferences and phone calls
Ability and willingness to travel up to three times per year for one to three days for event support
Drivers License required to be kept current and in effect as a condition of employment
Employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk, and hear
Essential duties require the use of computers to process information
The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms
Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read at close range and distinguish colors and contrasts
The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal
Able to lift and move boxes, files, and deliveries up to 30 pounds
Able to manage a sales booth at events for up to 10 hours, sitting and standing
