Responsibilities
- Prepare and resubmit corrected claims to insurance companies per payer rules (electronic and paper)
- Analyze rejected claims and resolve issues for timely resubmission
- Research and follow up on billing claims to ensure payment from primary and secondary payers
- Review, process, and appeal claims with accurate supporting documentation
- Evaluate customer accounts, recommend adjustments or write-offs, and maintain revenue integrity
- Identify and report billing errors or discrepancies to management
- Generate and distribute monthly patient balance statements aligned with insurance EOBs
- Collaborate with internal teams to prevent revenue delays and resolve trends
Requirements
- 1–3 years of medical insurance billing and collections experience preferred
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, Excel, and Word
- Familiarity with physical therapy EMR systems a plus
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Customer success-oriented mindset
Compensation
- $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
