The Accounts Receivable Specialist will possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong attention to detail while managing a large collections portfolio. While working under specific timelines and guidelines, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will need to have a positive attitude and the mindset to evaluate and improve processes and procedures for the benefit of Hotel Engine and our clients.
Essential Functions:
- Consistent diligence of collecting accounts receivable with excellent follow-up to open issues.
- Daily processing of client payments accurately per the remittances received. In the event a remittance is not received, must be able to contact client to request further documentation.
- Engage in collection management processes as necessary and present on A/R aging to management weekly.
- Investigate and resolve all transaction questions – credits, short payments, unapplied payments.
- Reconcile client accounts and research issues for timely resolution.
- Review, gather and upload evidence to dispute credit card chargebacks.
- Process office mail periodically. Sort, scan and distribute mail as appropriate, deposit checks via remote deposit.
- Manage competing priorities.
- Special projects/duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
- 1-3 years Cash Application / Accounts Receivable experience or Accounting/Finance background preferred.
- Professional experience in B2B Collections with high volume accounts and large portfolios.
- Organized with excellent attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
- Great math aptitude and the ability to work accurately with numbers are essential.
- Proficient user of excel (pivot tables, xlookup, etc.).
- NetSuite, Stripe and/or SalesForce experience is a major plus.
- Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Cash compensation:
- The base hourly rate for this role is $24.00 – $27.00/hour. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above.
