Schedule
- Full-time, remote position (high-speed internet required; may transition back to office if needed)
- Standard business hours, Monday–Friday
- Phone-based role requiring frequent follow-up calls to clients and payers
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, edit, and submit account billing and claims according to payer guidelines
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and ensure proper documentation is included with claims
- Interpret contracts between Trident and clients to ensure accurate reimbursement
- Research accounts, resolve discrepancies, and process adjustments or refunds when needed
- Follow up on claim status by phone with commercial clients and responsible parties
- Create Excel reports for clients as requested and process payer/fee schedule changes
- Maintain accurate billing records and complete required reports on schedule
- Escalate compliance or timeliness issues to supervisors when necessary
What You Need
- 1–5 years of experience interpreting contracts in healthcare or billing environments
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of claims processing and medical terminology preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis
- Ability to type at least 35 wpm
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment
