Who you are:
You are a motivated, committed, and detail-oriented individual who will join our team as an Accounts Payable Associate. This is a hands-on role on a dynamic team. This position ensures payments reach vendors so there is no interruption of services to the company and its customers. In this role you will work directly with stakeholders, manage competing priorities and deliver accurate results within a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve vendor invoices in Concur in a timely and accurate manner
- Set-up new vendors & expense types in Netsuite and Concur
- Apply vendor invoice payments in Netsuite
- Reconcile processed Concur payment batches to the bank statement
- Process manual bank payments to vendors for our international subsidiaries
- Correspond with all creditors and vendors regarding payment terms, outstanding credits, and other finance-related inquiries
- Address employee questions and requests related to vendor payment status and the Concur Invoice system
- Assist with researching a new accounts payable system and with the subsequent implementation
- Research and resolve discrepancies with vendor accounts and invoices
- Maintain the accuracy of historical vendor and invoice records
- Review and approve employee expense reports to ensure adherence with our T&E policy, as needed
- Respond to employee questions and requests related to expense reimbursements and the Concur Expense system, as needed
- Participate in month-end close, including the AP accrual and AP reconciliation
- Provide support in audit and tax preparation
- Assist with various ad hoc projects and requests
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 1-3 years of Accounting/AP experience
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of GAAP and their proper application to business transactions
- Working knowledge of Concur preferred
- Working knowledge of Netsuite ERP preferred
- Intermediate experience with MS Excel required
- Experience with Google’s suite of products (Gmail, Drive, Sheets)
- Versatile, flexible, and willing to work on constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
