About Firstsource
Firstsource supports clients with specialized services that help reduce outstanding accounts receivable. In this role, you’ll represent healthcare providers by helping patients resolve unpaid medical bills through payments or approved arrangements. You’ll work virtually in a call center style environment focused on compliance and results.
Schedule
- Remote, work from home
- Monday through Friday
- Virtual call center environment with daily productivity goals and weekly contests/incentives
What You’ll Do
- Navigate multiple systems while documenting accurate account history and maintaining confidentiality
- Answer inbound calls from patients looking to make payments on outstanding healthcare accounts
- Place outbound calls to patients who have not set up payment arrangements to resolve balances
- Suggest resources and negotiate payment arrangements within hospital or physician office guidelines
- Work within a virtual team to meet daily call and dollars-collected goals, plus monthly collection goals
- Stay current on FDCPA requirements and company compliance standards to ensure lawful collection practices
- Maintain a confidential, orderly remote workspace and follow company policies and code of conduct
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Collections experience (preferred)
- At least 6 months of customer service experience
- Strong communication skills with patients, coworkers, and leadership in phone and virtual chat environments
- Professional, courteous demeanor and the ability to stay on task with little supervision
- Strong time management and organization skills to prioritize multiple tasks
- PC proficiency and typing speed of 30–40 WPM
- Ability to sit for extended periods
