Schedule

  • Remote
  • Pay rate: $16/hour (may be below your state’s minimum wage depending on location)
  • Training: 6 weeks, Monday–Friday, 9:00AM–5:00PM (EST)
  • Production schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:30PM–10:00PM (EST)
  • Full-time (40 hours/week) with full benefits day one
  • Equipment provided
  • Not hiring in: AK, AZ, CA, CT, CO, HI, IL, MA, MD, ME, MO, MT, NE, NJ, NY, RI, OR, VT, WA
  • Not hiring in select metro areas: Minneapolis, MN; Washington, DC; Denver, CO; Boulder, CO; Edgewater, CO; Flagstaff, AZ
  • Must pass internet speed test and connect via ethernet to modem/router

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for pension and defined benefits inquiries from potential and existing members
  • Handle one-to-one inbound calls and provide customer support with empathy and accuracy
  • Place outbound calls to leave messages as needed
  • Support customers through a live chat platform when required
  • Document interactions and follow quality monitoring processes in a call center environment
  • Resolve issues through analysis, ongoing feedback, and a commitment to comprehensive resolution

What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 18+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Previous customer service and/or call center experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office and strong keyboarding skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, co-workers, and people from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a structured call center setting
  • Internet speed test requirements: 25+ Mbps download, 5+ Mbps upload, ping 175 ms or less
  • Ability to connect with an ethernet cable to a modem/router
  • Experience with pension and defined benefits (plus)
