You’ll intake patient demographics, support case openings, manage faxes and web requests, and help route services based on precertification requirements.

MedWatch supports utilization review and care management workflows by helping collect and process patient and provider information, route requests appropriately, and keep case documentation accurate and moving.

- Pay: $16.00–$17.00 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Handle incoming MedWatch calls (start cases, call logs, forward calls, case status, provide claims phone numbers)
- Make outgoing calls to collect demographics and case completion information
- Complete incoming electronic Webcerts
- Send CM reports and invoices
- Send Path letters and handle Path letter responses
- Attach and distribute inbound faxes (100–200/day), including opening cases from faxed info when needed
- Call DMTHR and DM patients to introduce the program/nurse and transfer cases to the appropriate nurse
- Monitor case management inboxes and respond to emails from nurses (open cases, update info, misc requests)
- Verify and correct patient and provider demographics as needed
- Troubleshoot fax failures (research numbers and re-fax manually when required)
- Fax PA reviews for nurses
- Create cheat sheets, documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence as needed
- Set follow-up dates for HRAs in DM
- Support mailing needs for UR, CM, and DM
- Complete other tasks as assigned as duties shift
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong data entry and typing skills
- Basic computer skills and comfort with common applications
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once with attention to detail and accuracy
- Customer service knowledge and some call center/customer service experience
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Stress tolerance and ability to work well on a team
- Strong organization and time management
- Ability to handle difficult situations tactfully and diplomatically
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
