What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
- Handle client calls to provide or gather account information (status updates, contact info updates, account details)
- Respond to client inquiries within the same business day whenever possible
- Document all interactions, complaints, and actions taken in the system
- Confirm changes were made correctly to resolve concerns
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate departments quickly
- Process itemized bill requests and handle disputes using WebNow (when applicable)
- Send client notifications for final bill requests, payment/balance verifications, disputes, fraud, and identity theft, and track responses
- Post direct payments
- Use client websites as needed to support resolutions
- Prepare and process monthly client statements, invoices, payment details, and reconcile disputes
- Participate in audits, client visits, meetings, conference calls, and summits as needed
- Keep process and procedure documentation current
- Follow all required compliance standards (FDCPA, FCRA, FACTA, Regulation E, HIPAA, TCPA, and other laws and company policies)
What You Need
- Collections or call center experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills and professional client communication
- Ability to multitask and work across multiple internal and external systems
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Team-first attitude and ability to work well with others
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to change
