About the Role
We’re looking for thoughtful and expressive individuals who can engage in authentic, natural, and emotionally rich five-minute video conversations with other participants. Each session focuses on meaningful, get-to-know-you topics that capture genuine human connection and conversational flow.
In this role, you are expected to bring warmth and presence to each exchange by listening actively, responding with curiosity, and expressing emotion naturally through your tone, facial reactions, and gestures. The goal is to create interactions that feel spontaneous and real, as if two people were meeting for the first time and connecting through open, honest dialogue.
This is a fully remote, freelance position that offers complete flexibility in when and how much you work.
About You
- Fluent in English, with clear speech and strong conversational skills
- Comfortable speaking confidently on camera and engaging with new people
- Able to maintain good lighting, stable framing, and clear audio throughout recordings
- Attentive, curious, and capable of expressing genuine warmth and emotion on video
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow project guidelines carefully
Compensation
- $60 per recorded hour
- Additional performance-based incentives may be available
Responsibilities
- Participate in recorded five-minute video conversations with another participant
- Engage naturally by listening, reacting, and responding with genuine interest
- Maintain clear video and audio quality throughout each session
Technical Requirements
- Camera capable of recording at 720p or higher with a minimum of 30 FPS
- Laptop or desktop computer (tablets and phones not supported)
- External or USB microphone preferred for clear, natural audio
- Good lighting and a distraction-free background
- Stable internet connection capable of supporting smooth video calls
Additional Information
Rates are determined by the number of recorded hours and apply specifically to this project within the United States. If your application is accepted for a different Babel Audio project, the compensation rate may vary.
