What You’ll Do
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts via phone, email, and third-party platforms
- Identify invoices past contracted payment terms (30+ days weekly) and resolve root causes
- Recommend escalations (suspension, write-off, third-party collections) when needed
- Maintain detailed records of collection activity and customer interactions
- Provide weekly updates to leadership, including notes for invoices 60+ days past due
- Track AR balances and follow up with clients to drive timely payment
- Partner with other departments on complex or escalated cases
- Pull in Sales/account owners when customers go unresponsive
- Generate accurate invoices using contracts, usage, data, and logs
- Identify billing errors and perform data analysis to correct issues
- Handle billing activities in a HIPAA-compliant way and safeguard PHI
- Respond to customer billing/invoice questions
- Approve and verify amounts tied to Salesforce cases
- Support AR/billing-related updates and internal coordination
What You Need
- 3–5 years of experience in AR/collections or a similar role
- High attention to detail with strong data accuracy habits
- Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to manage high task volume with consistency and speed
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- ERP experience preferred (Sage Intacct or NetSuite) and Salesforce preferred
- Comfort working with sensitive data and following HIPAA/privacy standards
