Two Chicks With A Side Hustle

If you’re a clinically experienced educator who likes building realistic patient scenarios and working with product/engineering teams, this is that lane. You’re basically the “clinical brain + curriculum architect” behind virtual patient simulations.

About Kaplan
Kaplan is a long-running education company focused on education + technology, with a strong remote culture and benefits.

Schedule

  • Part-time
  • Remote/Nationwide (USA)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with content, consultants, sales/customer teams, and engineering

What You’ll Do

  • Create original i-Human Patient virtual simulation encounters with realistic, critical-thinking-driven scenarios
  • Revise and improve existing cases and educational resources
  • Collaborate with peers/consultants on content development, healthcare media, and support materials
  • Support sales, nurse consultants, and customer engagement teams during implementations (best practices, analytics usage, faculty/student training, and Q&A)
  • Partner with engineering on upcoming features and enhancements, plus product testing and quality improvements
  • Stay current on curriculum development/implementation innovations
  • Use and maintain proficiency with tools like Google Sheets, Microsoft products, Smartsheets, and new tech as needed

What You Need

  • Master’s degree (preferred NP or PA)
  • Clinical practice experience: 5 years
  • Healthcare education experience: 5 years
  • Healthcare education simulation experience: 3 years minimum
  • Strong knowledge of nursing education trends and product/content design
  • Knowledge of curricular design
  • Strong written/verbal communication, organized, self-motivated
  • Comfortable adapting to tools and workflow changes; solid Google/Microsoft + Smartsheets proficiency

Benefits

  • Remote flexibility
  • “Gift of Knowledge” tuition assistance and discounts for employee + close family
  • Health and wellness benefits eligibility Day 1
  • 401(k) with company match after eligibility is met
  • Paid time off package includes holidays, vacation, personal, sick, plus 1 volunteer day + 1 D&I day

Pay

  • $45.00 per hour

My straight read: this is not a typical “content specialist” job. It’s a clinical education SME role. If you don’t have the NP/PA education background + years of simulation/teaching, you’ll get screened out fast. If you do, it’s a strong part-time remote option with clean pay.
