What You’ll Do
- Lead ASC 606 revenue recognition execution, including contract analysis and earned vs. deferred revenue calculations
- Manage billing for high-value, complex contract structures and oversee deferred revenue and customer deposits
- Resolve contract-to-billing discrepancies as the escalation point for Sales, Account Management, and Compliance
- Prepare and distribute a high volume of invoices, ensuring alignment across contract terms, CRM data, and invoices
- Oversee billing workflow for month-end close, including reconciliations and GL tie-outs, and draft management reporting
- Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements
- Generate routine and ad-hoc billing reports, trends, and forecasts for leadership
- Support audit readiness and compliance (GAAP, internal controls, SOX where applicable), acting as a key billing/AR contact for auditors
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA/advanced cert preferred)
- 3+ years in billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting
- Direct experience applying ASC 606 in a billing or accounting role
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and comfort with data-heavy analysis
- High accuracy, strong documentation habits, and confident problem-solving
- Ability to sit for long periods and work on a computer; able to communicate by phone/video
