What You’ll Do
- Monitor billed accounts daily to identify outstanding receivables
- Investigate historical billing data to confirm balances and root issues
- Take action to encourage timely payments through consistent outreach
- Contact clients to discuss overdue payments professionally and clearly
- Resolve billing problems and reduce overall accounts receivable
- Manage and work a minimum of 40 claims per workday
- Prepare and present reports on collection activity, progress, and trends
What You Need
- At least 1 year of medical billing experience
- Familiarity with medical billing codes
- Knowledge of the appeals process for commercial and workers’ compensation claims
- Excellent email writing and phone communication skills
- Strong case management knowledge and follow-through
- Calm, compassionate, and patient approach, even in tense conversations
- Solid organization skills and strong attention to detail
