What You’ll Do
- Answer inbound and place outbound calls to support members/patients
- Explain benefits, eligibility, and coverage in a clear way
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm provider appointments
- Process referrals, authorizations, prescription renewals, and similar requests
- Assist with claims questions, billing inquiries, and account updates
- Review eligibility and update records accurately
- Document all interactions in EMR/CRM systems
- Communicate with providers/internal teams via phone and secure messaging/email
- Follow HIPAA/privacy guidelines and escalate complex issues when needed
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year call center customer service experience
- 1+ year healthcare or health insurance experience (member services, patient services, benefits support, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to navigate multiple systems while staying accurate
- Reliable work history and strong dependability
- Commitment to a long-term role
- Private workspace + high-speed internet
