This is a hunter role for wholesale mortgage. If you already have a real broker book and you live for production, pipeline discipline, and being in the field, this is your lane. If you do not have an established broker network, this posting is basically a nonstarter because they require it.

What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain a producing broker client base in an assigned territory
- Prospect and develop a pipeline of new broker partners
- Create tactical strategies and a disciplined sales cadence to maximize production
- Manage pipeline and performance metrics (activity, wallet share, market share)
- Forecast production and build broker marketing and business plans with actionable steps
- Work multiple outreach channels: in person visits, phone, email, direct marketing
- Use CRM activity metrics to drive consistent outbound actions
- Partner closely with Ops and Fulfillment to ensure strong execution for brokers
- Provide market intelligence and share best practices with the team
- Stay sharp on products, guidelines, and lender updates (and keep learning)
- Serve as an SME on Cardinal’s products, policies, procedures, and technology
- Train and support brokers on Octane (technical enablement matters here)
- Run group presentations at broker offices on Cardinal’s value prop, process, products, and tech
- Deliver “world class” broker service with disciplined follow-up
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
- 4+ years of recent experience as a top-performing Wholesale Account Executive (required)
- Established book of tenured broker relationships (required)
- Strong knowledge of GSE, regulatory, and compliance guidelines (RESPA, TILA, QM, AIR, TRID)
- Tech fluency: LOS, CRM, social media, pricing engines, AUS
- Strong networking and negotiation skills
- Self-starter, accountable, competitive, and organized
