Full-time, remote. Revenue Cycle team role supporting coding and billing across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and specialty services.
What You’ll Do
⦁ Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to code accurately using CPT and ICD-10
⦁ Validate medical necessity and ensure coding aligns with CMS and payer-specific guidelines
⦁ Process charge capture and review billing edits to reduce denials before they happen
⦁ Partner with providers and billing teams to resolve documentation gaps and coding inconsistencies
⦁ Track coding trends, support denial resolution, and recommend process improvements
⦁ Assist with provider education on documentation and coding compliance
⦁ Maintain production standards and report daily productivity and quality metrics
What You Need
⦁ High school diploma or GED (required)
⦁ Completion of a formal coding program (AHIMA, CCS, or AAPC preferred)
⦁ 3+ years of applied coding experience or 5+ years of OB/GYN coding experience in a revenue cycle setting
⦁ Strong command of ICD-10, CPT, medical terminology, anatomy, and health record documentation
⦁ Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans (HMO, PPO, POS, indemnity)
⦁ Understanding of HIPAA and compliance standards, with comfort using EHR/billing systems
⦁ Strong organization, analytical skills, and detail-first work habits
