Schedule
- 100% remote, work from home within the United States
- Full time, Monday through Friday
- Standard business hours aligned to Eastern Time
- Company provided equipment; you’ll use your personal phone to place outbound calls to insurance carriers
What You’ll Do
- Work EMS insurance claims that are pending, on hold, denied, or incorrectly paid by commercial insurance carriers
- Review claims that cannot be released, identify the cause, and fix the issues keeping them on hold
- Investigate denials, determine why claims were denied, and take the appropriate follow up steps
- Contact insurance companies to provide additional information, clarify details, or submit appeals so claims can be processed correctly
- Handle related correspondence by mail and email, including any required refunds or adjustments
- Follow all insurance rules, regulations, and timely filing limits to protect revenue and compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall claims resolution process
What You Need
- Strong computer skills and comfort with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
- Ability to handle a high volume of work while meeting tight deadlines and performance metrics
- Experience in a call monitored or metric driven environment is helpful
- Calm, professional phone manner and the ability to represent the company well with insurance carriers
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a courteous and solutions focused approach
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when working claims and documentation
- Strong organization and time management skills to prioritize and complete all assigned work
