Schedule
- Full time, remote position
- Must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI
- Two evening shifts per week: 12:00 pm–9:00 pm CST and 10:00 am–7:00 pm CST
- One Saturday shift every 5 weeks
- Office style work from home: significant time sitting, typing, and talking on the phone
What You’ll Do
- Make outbound calls on past due customer accounts to resolve delinquency in line with company policies
- Identify delinquent or potentially delinquent accounts and take ownership of resolution efforts
- Research accounts to determine the best course of action and document outcomes
- Process payments over the phone, including credit card transactions
- Offer hardship and relief options to customers in accordance with company guidelines
- Use company tools and resources to aim for one call resolutions where possible
- Clearly explain interest, statements, and other account details to customers
- Assist with overflow calls such as disputes, recovery, first pay, and bankruptcy related calls
- Support in office style administrative tasks as needed
- Work effectively under deadlines while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and adaptability
What You Need
- Associate’s degree in business, finance, communication, marketing, or related field OR relevant applicable experience
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, internet, and email
- Professional phone presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills with the ability to handle stressful conversations using tact and diplomacy
- Solid typing skills and high attention to detail
- Reliable, dynamic, sociable, and enthusiastic team player with a positive, “can do” attitude
- Ability to multitask under deadline pressure while maintaining accuracy and judgment
- Comfortable taking direction, working well with others, and reacting productively to change
