Schedule
- Full-time, hourly role
- 100% remote, supporting the Chicago, IL–based team
- Standard weekday office hours (set by department)
- Requires reliable high-speed internet (at least 100 Mbps download / 25 Mbps upload via cable or fiber)
What You’ll Do
- Receive, upload, and download EDI files to and from multiple vendors each day
- Process 837 files and convert them into .txt format for internal systems
- Prepare files to be loaded into internal platforms for claims processing and payment workflows
- Perform eligibility checks and match enrollee and member demographics to the internal master database
- Monitor EDI databases and track file status, counts, and batch audits
- Identify and resolve failed transactions and missing acknowledgements
- Document EDI workflows and provide basic EDI support to internal staff and external trading partners
- Handle data entry tasks with a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines
- Complete other related duties as assigned by leadership
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Data entry speed of at least 6,000 keystrokes per hour with solid accuracy
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access (data entry, spreadsheets, tracking logs)
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with repetitive, data-heavy tasks
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple files and steps at once
- Good problem-solving skills and a self-motivated, “figure-it-out” mindset
- Able to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with a virtual team
