- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (ET)
Responsibilities
- Review Medicare and Medicaid EMS claims after coding and before release to payers.
- Review patient care reports (PCRs) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Assign appropriate level of service based on documentation.
- Verify claims meet billing and regulatory standards prior to submission.
- Navigate between multiple systems and programs throughout the workday.
- Maintain productivity in a high-volume environment (approximately 250–400 claims per day).
- Meet daily and weekly deadlines for claim review and release.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership as needed.
Requirements
- Medical background required: LPN, RN, EMT, Paramedic, LNA, or Aide.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation.
- Reliable high-speed internet (15 Mbps+).
- Ability to pass a basic computer skills assessment and typing speed/accuracy assessment.
- Comfortable navigating multiple software programs at once.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with time-sensitive tasks.
- Punctual, dependable, and willing to ask questions when needed.
- Able to handle stress in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
- Passionate about accuracy, compliance, and supporting patient-focused EMS agencies.
