Schedule
• Full-time, remote (U.S.)

• Leadership role with daily team oversight and workflow management
What You’ll Do
• Supervise inpatient coding operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and revenue integrity
• Provide daily staff coordination, scheduling, and workflow oversight
• Serve as expert resource for inpatient coding questions and education
• Review productivity, quality, audit outcomes, and performance metrics
• Support hiring, training, evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions
• Assist with budgets, staffing strategies, and department goals
• Analyze regulatory changes and guide implementation across coding teams
• Maintain department policies, procedures, and cross-training standards
• Ensure adherence to AHIMA standards and internal compliance requirements
• Resolve work-related issues including software, documentation, and connectivity challenges
• Minimize coding backlogs and maintain turnaround time expectations
What You Need
• Active AAPC or AHIMA certification
• 3+ years of supervision experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of inpatient coding, APC groupers, encoders, and federal coding regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications
• Ability to work independently, manage teams, and adapt to change
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
