Schedule
• Full-time, remote within the United States
• Standard Monday–Friday schedule
• Occasional travel as needed
Responsibilities
• Perform complex concurrent and retrospective audits of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS assignments for Profee encounters
• Validate coded data using AHA, CMS, AMA, AHIMA, AAPC, Coding Clinic, and CPT Assistant references
• Identify trends, root causes, and error patterns in client coding
• Prepare detailed audit summary reports with supporting references
• Provide second-level review to ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements
• Research and respond to inquiries related to compliance, coding, and denials
• Deliver targeted education to clients’ coders and providers based on audit findings
• Maintain an 80 percent billable productivity threshold when work is available
• Meet or exceed a 95 percent accuracy standard for audit results
• Complete independent QA prior to submission for final review
• Maintain professional communication with clients and internal teams
• Keep credentials current and pursue ongoing education
• Protect patient and client confidentiality at all times
Requirements
• Active AHIMA or AAPC coding credential
• 5 or more years of Profee coding and/or auditing experience (required)
• Strong background in OP Profee coding, auditing, and provider education
• Experience with EMRs and remote work systems
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects independently
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through
• National consulting or multi-facility experience preferred
