• Collaboration across billing, AR, and client relations teams
What You’ll Do
• Review and accurately post insurance and patient payments
• Resolve auto-posted ERA errors to prevent reconciliation issues
• Import and upload payment files from clearinghouses and payer portals
• Manually post payments from bank lockbox deposits, facility deposits, and RTA checks
• Perform adjustments, corrections, auditing, and account analysis to maintain clean ledgers
• Support month-end reconciliation and ensure all payments and adjustments are finalized
• Process payment batches and partner with billing staff to resolve posting discrepancies
• Process remote bank deposits and manually post cash receipts
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies in collaboration with the Client Relations Manager
• Support AR workflows when time allows, including:
- Following up on outstanding insurance claims
- Preparing corrected claims and appeals
- Identifying billing issues and recommending adjustments or write-offs
- Supporting claim resubmissions and patient balance reviews
What You Need
• Knowledge of payment posting processes, including adjustments and refunds
• Understanding of medical billing, payer policies, and basic medical terminology
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and web-based portals
• Strong ten-key accuracy and speed
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving ability across varied billing scenarios
• Prior medical billing or AR experience (preferred)
