Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
- Manage the general ledger and trial balance
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, analyses, and work papers
- Support invoice creation and distribution
- Prepare and analyze journal entries for accuracy and compliance
- Interpret financial data and provide insights to leadership
- Review, refine, and improve accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with external audits and tax engagements
- Support multi-state sales tax returns, state income tax filings, and related reporting
- Recommend and implement process enhancements for efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2–3 years of general accounting experience
- Experience with Sage Intacct preferred
- Experience in a private equity–backed environment preferred
- MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
