What You’ll Do
- Use the Artiva workflow system to follow up on patient accounts and recover revenue from responsible parties
- Identify root causes behind denied or unpaid claims and determine next steps
- Gather required documentation, including medical necessity and employer or accident details, to support appeals
- Draft and submit appeal letters to overturn payer denials
- Ensure all claims meet timely filing guidelines
- Communicate professionally with payers, attorneys, employers, and other entities
- Escalate complex accounts to management and identify trends contributing to denials
- Maintain accurate notes, documentation, and compliance with HIPAA guidelines
What You Need
- Experience in hospital revenue cycle or insurance claims, especially appeals
- Strong professionalism and adherence to debt collection rules
- Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to calculate rates and understand financial adjustments
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD coding preferred
- Strong organization, documentation, and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
