Schedule

  • Full-time, remote
  • Must be available for flexible scheduling
  • Overtime may be required
  • Weekend work may be required based on business needs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct benefit investigations by reviewing patient insurance information
  • Assist providers and patients with completing insurance forms and program applications
  • Submit prior authorization requests and follow up to ensure timely processing
  • Respond to provider inquiries and accurately document all interactions
  • Maintain ongoing communication with payers, pharmacies, and provider offices
  • Identify reimbursement trends and report issues to leadership
  • Process insurance and patient correspondence
  • Provide accurate documentation for authorizations and referrals
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support workflow and ensure task completion
  • Escalate adverse events appropriately per SOP
  • Work independently within defined procedures and exercise judgment on moderate-scope problems

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One or more years of experience in specialty pharmacy, medical insurance, physician’s office, or similar healthcare settings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build productive working relationships
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefits
  • Familiarity with commercial and government payer processes (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Customer-focused mindset
