Responsibilities
- Research and gather patient demographic and insurance information
- Work with hospitals, insurers, attorneys, and patients to secure missing info
- Input accurate data to support EMS claim payment
- Communicate via phone, email, and mail professionally
- Use internal tools and multiple browsers/screens to track patient records
- Collaborate across internal departments to move claims toward payment
- Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience in billing or patient support preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to stay composed under deadlines and pressure
- Excellent phone and communication skills
- Comfortable working with multiple monitors and online research tools
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable
