Schedule
Part-time, remote
Evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
Weeknight shifts between 5pm–8am
Every other weekend, 10–12-hour daytime shifts
Holiday coverage required (scheduled annually in advance)
What You’ll Do
- Provide telephonic after-hours medical support to senior living residents and facility staff
- Assess symptoms and direct care to prevent avoidable ER transfers
- Manage acute, chronic, and behavioral health needs within scope
- Coordinate with hospitals, facilities, and on-call providers
- Document all encounters in the EMR accurately and efficiently
- Follow clinical protocols and maintain compliance with CMS standards
What You Need
- Master’s degree and NP national certification (ANP, FNP, or GNP)
- Active unrestricted NP licenses in Iowa & Missouri
- Ability to obtain or hold DEA license and prescriptive authority
- 3+ years NP experience, including acute and chronic disease management
- Experience working with adult or geriatric populations
- Ability to participate in Medicare/Medicaid
- Strong EMR and telehealth communication skills
Preferred
- Additional active licenses (IL, KS, OH, WI, MN, IN, NE)
- Experience in nursing homes or acute senior care settings
- Knowledge of advanced illness and end-of-life care
- Relationship-building and crisis-communication skills
