What You’ll Do
- Perform inpatient facility coding audits (onboarding, focused, SLA, and other review types) using MS-DRG/APR-DRG
- Provide clear rationales for changes with references and documentation locations
- Stay current on regulatory updates; educate coders through the audit process
- Prioritize multiple cases to meet turnaround times and quality goals
- Work professionally and collaboratively while upholding AHIMA’s Code of Ethics
What You Need
- Preferred: Proficiency with MS-DRG and APR-DRG; CCS preferred (RHIA/RHIT a plus)
- 5+ years inpatient facility coding and/or auditing experience with 95% DRG accuracy
- Experience across major EMRs (Epic, Cerner, and others); strong organization and communication
