What You’ll Do

  • Act as the primary liaison between billing operations, customer experience teams, and clinic medical records departments to obtain necessary documentation
  • Review and interpret medical records, ensuring compliance with CMS, state, and insurer coverage policies
  • Extract and summarize key clinical information supporting medical necessity for insurance claims
  • Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC to navigate and retrieve records
  • Collaborate across departments to improve revenue cycle efficiency and performance
  • Participate in team meetings and case reviews to identify process and quality improvements
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate case documentation

What You Need

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare administration, case management, medical billing/coding, or insurance collections
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, or related field (LPN, RN, BSN, BSHA accepted)
  • Knowledge of CMS policies, LCD/NCD coverage criteria, and oncology/organ health terminology
  • Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience navigating EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
  • Ability to communicate complex medical and policy information clearly
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance
