What You’ll Do
- Analyze claims, denial letters, and remittances to identify root causes of denials
- Contact payers, prepare appeals, and correct/resubmit claims as needed
- Review medical records and collaborate with providers for additional documentation or clarification
- Draft, format, and submit appeal letters in compliance with payer and regulatory standards
- Meet quality and productivity benchmarks while tracking and reporting denial trends
- Support effective triage of denials and ensure timely, accurate resolution
What You Need
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience; 2+ years of denials or accounts receivable preferred
- Knowledge of revenue cycle terminology and hospital operations
- Ability to type at least 35 wpm
- Experience in chart review, audit, or provider relations is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
