SimonMed Imaging is hiring a PI Billing Representative II to support our billing operations. This role works closely with supervisors, attorneys, and patients to resolve billing issues, ensure claims are processed correctly, and handle collections. Schedule
- Full-time, remote position
- Standard business hours with flexibility as needed
What You’ll Do
- Research and update patient demographic and billing information
- Review accounts to ensure claims are handled appropriately
- Investigate and resolve patient billing inquiries; escalate complex issues as needed
- Launch and track case investigations with billing service to correct errors (appeals, misfiled claims, etc.)
- Handle attorney inquiries and coordinate billing for legal claims
- Submit claims using CMS 1500 forms and follow up with insurance companies to ensure payment
- Answer patient billing questions and handle collections on unpaid accounts
- Assist in training new employees and participate in special projects as assigned
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all aspects of billing and communication
What You Need
- High school diploma required; one or more years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills
- Experience in medical billing preferred
