SimonMed Imaging is seeking a skilled PI Billing AR Specialist I to support our revenue cycle team by investigating and resolving billing issues, ensuring accurate claims handling, and assisting patients and attorneys with payment resolutions.

Schedule
- Full-time, remote position
- Standard business hours; flexibility may be required
What You’ll Do
- Research systems to update demographic information and follow up with patients as needed
- Review accounts to verify proper claim handling; reprocess and update claims when necessary
- Evaluate posted adjustments and EOBs for accuracy
- Locate and post unprocessed checks in the billing system
- Follow up with auto insurance adjusters, insurance carriers, and attorneys on claim balances
- Investigate patient inquiries, instruct billing services on proper account handling, and escalate issues as needed
- Produce and submit claims using CMS 1500 forms
- Assist with escalations from Customer Service and Billing Representatives
- Train new employees as assigned
- Work a minimum of 120 accounts per day
What You Need
- High school diploma required
- 3+ years of full revenue cycle management experience
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of medical billing and HIPAA guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills; able to work effectively with attorneys, patients, insurance companies, and colleagues
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
