What You’ll Do
- Review and analyze accounts, work queues, and reports for unapplied credits and overpayments
- Validate Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), ERAs, patient payments, and coordination of benefits
- Initiate refunds or takebacks with accuracy and compliance to policies
- Ensure proper payment transfers and account documentation
- Meet productivity and quality benchmarks for credit balance resolution
- Collaborate with teammates to achieve department goals
What You Need
- High School Diploma/GED (or 4+ years of healthcare billing/collections experience)
- 2+ years in revenue cycle credit balance, medical billing, or collections
- 1+ year working in Epic
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
