Step into a leadership role where you’ll guide a team of customer service representatives toward excellence. Symetra is hiring a Customer Service Lead to coach, train, and support CSRs while handling escalations, monitoring service levels, and driving process improvements.

Schedule

  • Remote-first (U.S. only)
  • Must be able to work 11:30am – 8:00pm EST
  • Compensation: $23.92 – $39.85/hour plus annual bonus eligibility

What You’ll Do

  • Coach and support CSRs daily, answering questions and guiding them on all product and transaction types
  • Provide leadership in the absence of management, handling escalated calls and high-volume periods
  • Develop and deliver training programs for new hires and continuing education for current staff
  • Create, maintain, and communicate procedures and process updates
  • Manage reporting, scheduling, and escalated service requests
  • Represent the department on cross-functional projects and initiatives

What You Need

  • Proven CSR background with skills in escalation management and technical resource support
  • Training and leadership experience with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent conflict management, written, and verbal communication abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must meet Symetra’s remote internet requirements:
    • Minimum 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload
    • Fiber, Cable, or DSL only (no satellite, hotspot, or dial-up)
