Schedule
- Full-time, remote role

- Must be able to meet turnaround deadlines for records requests
What You’ll Do
- Process medical record requests, including scanning, validating, and transmitting information according to HIPAA and company policy
- Review and validate authorizations for accuracy and compliance
- Perform quality checks to ensure confidentiality and proper invoicing
- Maintain accurate records of all releases and disclosure logs
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and clients
- Handle incoming requests by phone, fax, and mail as needed
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and properly store files before leaving the area
- Stay up to date on state laws, fee structures, and compliance requirements
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical records department or related setting preferred
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to type at least 50 WPM
- Experience using fax, copier, and scanning equipment
- Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to multitask
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Team player with ability to adapt and learn new processes quickly
