Schedule
- Full-time, fully remote role (US-based)
- Standard Monday–Friday business hours
- One weekend shift per month required
- Evening or additional weekend flexibility preferred
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with applicants, borrowers, and merchants to resolve inquiries and collect delinquent balances
- Review delinquent accounts and execute tailored contact strategies to minimize losses
- Manage a high volume of customer accounts daily with accuracy and efficiency
- Negotiate repayment plans across varying delinquency levels and balances
- Respond promptly to credit disputes and chargeback disputes
- Document all borrower interactions and account-level issues accurately
- Skip-trace accounts lacking viable contact information
- Collaborate with management to improve borrower processes, systems, and workflows
- De-escalate challenging borrower situations with professionalism and empathy
- Provide accurate account information to applicants, members, and merchants
- Actively contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced start-up environment
Requirements
- 1+ years of collections experience required
- Experience in point-of-sale lending or chargeback dispute resolution preferred (customer service or sales background also considered)
- Strong negotiation skills with proven repayment plan success
- Knowledge of collections regulations a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, task prioritization, and organizational skills
- Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- College degree desired; high school diploma or GED required
- Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, team-first environment
Compensation & Benefits
- $75,000 base salary
- $25,000 uncapped commission (monthly payouts)
