What You’ll Do

  • Serve as primary liaison for employees on benefit issues, advocating and resolving claims.
  • Manage day-to-day benefits operations, including enrollments, COBRA, terminations, and compliance testing.
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and billing.
  • Coordinate communications for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and employee education.
  • Oversee leave management and Worker’s Compensation programs.
  • Administer the company-wide Wellness Program, working with carriers and Wellness Ambassadors to drive engagement.
  • Support M&A due diligence and HR special projects.
  • Monitor industry trends, analyze benefits data, and recommend improvements to future plan designs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA.

What You Need

  • Associate degree in HR or 3+ years of benefits administration experience.
  • Strong background in health and welfare benefits and 401(k) retirement programs.
  • Experience managing wellness programs and leave programs.
  • Solid knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Medicare, and DOL regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
