- Compensation: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour

What You’ll Do
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before services
- Determine copay, deductible, and coinsurance responsibilities
- Obtain prior authorizations from payers for services, procedures, and medications
- Accurately document benefit verification and authorization details in systems
- Collaborate with scheduling, billing, and AR teams for smooth workflows
- Communicate clearly with providers and payers about authorization status
- Track pending authorizations and follow up to prevent delays
- Identify trends in benefit issues or authorization delays and escalate as needed
- Support denial prevention efforts by ensuring payer requirements are met
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate/Bachelor’s preferred)
- 1–2 years’ experience in benefit verification, medical insurance, or prior authorization
- Knowledge of commercial and government payers, healthcare terminology, and insurance policies
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Familiarity with RCM systems, EMRs, and payer authorization portals
- Understanding of denial management and appeals processes
