Schedule
- Full-time, remote role (TX preferred)
- Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm Pacific or Mountain Time
- No weekends or holidays
What You’ll Do
- Research and resolve outstanding balances on accounts receivable
- Make routine collection calls on unpaid claims and follow up promptly
- Identify billing errors, short payments, and cash application issues; resolve or escalate as needed
- Research refund requests from payers and document findings
- Write and submit detailed appeals with supporting documentation
- Ensure claims are properly on file after initial submission
- Use electronic portals and company systems to manage collections efficiently
- Document actions clearly and maintain compliance with payer contracts and regulations
- Answer patient calls regarding balances, delivering excellent customer service
- Monitor and meet payer deadlines for follow-up and appeals
What You Need
- Previous home infusion and specialty pharmacy experience required
- 1–3+ years of medical collections/accounts receivable experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred)
- Knowledge of HCPC coding and medical terminology
- CPR+ systems experience preferred
- Strong math, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and multitask effectively
