Schedule
- Remote role based in Pennsylvania (Eastern Time core business hours)
- Full-time position with collaborative team environment
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen required
What You’ll Do
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility for consults and follow-ups
- Request and load pre-certification approvals into EMR systems
- Record, index, and document benefit and certification information
- Audit schedules to ensure all patients are verified and active, documenting coverage restrictions
- Obtain referrals or authorizations from primary care offices or insurers
- Serve as a reference point for team members and coordinate with departments to resolve insurance issues
- Index incoming records and referrals
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certificate from College/Technical School preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in medical or related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance/billing procedures
- Proficiency with medical scheduling/billing systems preferred
- Strong computer literacy and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills with patients, providers, and internal teams
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, and walk more than 50% of the time
- Repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements; clear vision and communication abilities
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, or carry/lift up to 20 pounds
