Schedule

  • Remote role based in Pennsylvania (Eastern Time core business hours)
  • Full-time position with collaborative team environment
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screen required

What You’ll Do

  • Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility for consults and follow-ups
  • Request and load pre-certification approvals into EMR systems
  • Record, index, and document benefit and certification information
  • Audit schedules to ensure all patients are verified and active, documenting coverage restrictions
  • Obtain referrals or authorizations from primary care offices or insurers
  • Serve as a reference point for team members and coordinate with departments to resolve insurance issues
  • Index incoming records and referrals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certificate from College/Technical School preferred
  • 2–3 years of experience in medical or related field
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance/billing procedures
  • Proficiency with medical scheduling/billing systems preferred
  • Strong computer literacy and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills with patients, providers, and internal teams

Physical Requirements

  • Sit, stand, and walk more than 50% of the time
  • Repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements; clear vision and communication abilities
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, or carry/lift up to 20 pounds
