Schedule
- Full-time, remote role
- Monday–Friday during business hours
- One weekend per month required
- Evening availability may occasionally be needed
Responsibilities
- Contact borrowers to collect delinquent balances while maintaining strong customer experience
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls daily for applicants, borrowers, and merchants
- Review accounts and apply optimal contact strategies to maintain losses below target goals
- Negotiate repayment plans and resolve disputes, including credit and chargeback disputes
- Accurately document account activity, issues, and outcomes in internal systems
- Skip-trace accounts with insufficient contact information
- Provide solutions to borrowers and escalate improvements from borrower-level to system-level
- Collaborate across departments to refine collections processes and strategies
- De-escalate difficult situations and communicate resolutions clearly
- Support startup-style improvements, adapting to change and contributing to company-wide growth
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in collections, customer service, or sales
- Experience in point-of-sale lending or chargeback dispute resolution a plus
- Strong negotiation skills and proven success arranging repayment plans
- Knowledge of collections regulations preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility with schedule
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $75,000
- Uncapped, on-target commission: $25,000 (paid monthly)
- Total earning potential: $100,000+
