What You’ll Do
- Respond to and resolve escalations from patients and clients regarding account balances and payments
- Research missing payments (EOBs, checks, insurance postings) and resolve escalated accounts within 24 hours
- Investigate whether payments tied to complaints have been posted correctly across systems
- Analyze historical data to determine root causes of escalations and recommend solutions
- Post Accounts Payable deposits and process both electronic and manual payer EOBs
- Accurately post insurance allowables, patient portions, denials, adjustments, contractual allowances, recoups, and forward balancing
- Balance and close payment batches in a timely manner
- Maintain clear communication with Posting Managers regarding coaching opportunities for team members
- Assist with audits, training, and special projects as assigned
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6+ years of cash posting experience in healthcare required
- Proven ability to interpret EOB remittance codes and apply correct denial codes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Positive, professional attitude with excellent attendance record
- Average QA score of 90%+ over the past 90 days
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
