Schedule

  • Full-time, remote role
  • Monday–Friday, daytime hours

Responsibilities

  • Post all insurance and patient payments (manual and electronic) quickly and accurately
  • Record adjustments, denials, and refunds per policy
  • Download and post ERAs, reconciling them to bank deposits
  • Process patient payments from lockbox, office collections, or online portals
  • Reconcile daily payment activity to deposits; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Work with Revenue Cycle and Accounting teams to resolve variances
  • Maintain logs and reports for posting and reconciliation activities
  • Investigate unapplied cash, missing remittances, and discrepancies
  • Support month-end reconciliation and audits as needed
  • Ensure HIPAA and internal compliance at all times

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2–3 years of healthcare payment posting experience (manual and electronic)
  • Familiarity with EOBs, EOPs, and ERAs
  • AthenaOne or similar EMR/Practice Management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer payment practices
  • Strong organizational and reconciliation skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to type at least 50 WPM
  • Clear communication and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, team-oriented, and self-motivated
